hmm...i seem to have issues with updating this.  so here's my entry for the semester or so.

It's the second week of the new semester, and I'm still not in the "swing" of things yet.  Like practicing instruments.  I'm supposed to practice violin at least 2 hours a day, then clarinet for who knows how long.  Add a few hours of voice practice a week.  Oh wait, then I have classes!  Aye.  Being a music major is hard.  Being a music major and an International studies major is suicide.

I'm currently taking this Int'l Econ course, and the teacher talks, but it somehow is not connecting in my brain.  Aye.  Luckily, I made sure I had plenty of friends (and boyfriend) in the class.

Some of my other classes include music theory and ear training (last semester ever!!!), music history (where we get to read philosophy...), woodwinds class (hence the clarinet), and instrumental music resources. IMR is supposed to be teaching me how to run a band/orch, but we have the band/jazz piano guy teaching so it's emphasis on jazz piano (don't ask me how that happened) and band.

But overall life is pretty good.  I take lots of breaks, procrastinate just as much as ever, and am even gonna earn a bit of money this semester (sols my soul to the music dept to work in the office).

So hey, drop a line (i love another reason to procrastinate).

Say a prayer tonight for Ms. Tom and Summer Takata.

You will be greatly missed.

Ooooh! Personality tests are so fun!

Hello, my happy friend. You have high spirits and
know how to have a good time. When your friends
go out, most likely they invite you almost all
the time. You most likely will enjoy your
Halloween. Good for you. Keep up the
experiment. You probably light people's dark
days with your smiles and laughter. Although
you're good, doesn't mean you're an angel. You
can tend to have a scary and/or other type of
side to you. As long as you have fun, do your
scares this Halloween. Have a safe and happy
one, Joyous Pumpkin.

i honestly didn't know what i'd get on this one, not bad...

The ULTIMATE personality test
brought to you by Quizilla

this one was the most ironic. i generally see myself as being dependant on others to protect me. just goes to show how you can't read too much into these tests

 You are Psalms
You are Psalms.

Which book of the Bible are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

cool! lots of music in the psalms. well, when i answer one question with "i love to sing," it doesn't really surprise me.

 uni
You are Form 3, Unicorn: The Innocent. "And The Unicorn knew she wasn't meant to
go into the Dark Wood. Disregarding the advice
given to her by the spirits, Unicorn went
inside and bled silver blood.. For her
misdeed, the world knew evil."
Some examples of the Unicorn Form are Eve
(Christian) and Pandora (Greek). The Unicorn is associated with the concept of
innocence, the number 3, and the element of
water. Her sign is the twilight sun. As a member of Form 3, you are a curious
individual. You are drawn to new things and
become fascinated with ideas you've never come
in contact with before. Some people may say
you are too nosey, but it's only because you
like getting to the bottom of things and
solving them. Unicorns are the best friends to
have because they are inquisitive.

Which Mythological Form Are You?

ooooh....unicorns. ah, look at me, little innocent one.

?? Which Of The Greek Gods Are You ??

brought to you by Quizilla You represent... naivete.
You represent... naivete. So innocent and trusting... you can be very shy at
times, but it's only because you're not sure
how to act. You give off that "I need to
be protected vibe." Remember that not all
people are good. Being too trusting will get
you easily hurt.

What feeling do you represent?
brought to you by Quizilla

Ruri-chan! little naive me...(see a pattern?)

Hmm.  I've had this account for forever (566 days according to the "please please please get xanga premium ad"), and never really posted before.  But since my sister wants me to post, here goes...

I am a second year student at WU trying to kill myself and get a BA and BM in 4 years.  Apparently not too many people try to do it.  The only 2 I knew suddenly decided to drop the second major...hmm, is that supposed to tell me anything?  Nope, not listening.

Anyways, I spend about 20hr/day doing classes, studying, practicing, etc, and the remainder sleeping.  (Okay, so I exaggerate a bit).  But while half my friends average 2-3hr of class a day (music major friends like me don't count), I average....over 5 a day.  And that doesn't account for the "1-3 hours a day" I'm supposed to practice a day.  In violin alone (my teacher is crazy).  Lets just say I'm lucky if I practice 1 hour every other day.  But add violin, viola, cello, voice, flute, and piano, and well, it adds up.

So anyways, now that I've proved I'm crazy...why should you keep reading?  Because, well, y'all are sadistic people who like to read about those worse off than you.  j/k.  You are all my friends (most likely), and are genuinely interested in seeing what I am doing in my life.

Other than school, I spend lots of time on my computer (hpff), and generally goofing off.   I spend time with bf, as well as at various clubs.  Swing dancing is cool!!!!!  Must really make time to go more often (grr extra class meetings).  Also I spend lots of time at Intervarsity, Campus Ambassadors, church, and various related bible studies and worship events.

So if you like any of my rambling, or want me to expand on anything, drop me a line.
